HELP BUILD YOUR CAMFT - ALBERTA BRANCH

After many years of watching from the sidelines, our lobbying efforts have finally paid off and CAMFT Alberta Branch has been invited to sit at the table of ACTA (Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta. ACTA, as you know, is the precursor to a regulating college that is still waiting to be declared by the government, a regulatory process designed to ensure the highest standards of clinical counselling care for both the Alberta public and undergird the commitment to ethical, exceptional care provided by the professionals who practice here.

This important inclusion comes at a price, literally. ACTA charges a significant, annual membership fee for our involvement on their board. The reality is that the Alberta Division of CAMFT is relatively new and presently without funds. To help with this cost, we have made the difficult decision to implement a CAMFT Alberta Division membership fee which will be in effect as of February 15th, 2024. Alberta Branch members will be emailed an invoice for their dues from CAMFT. 

Consider a one-time donation to CAMFT (AB) to help cover the costs of ACTA Board Membership. While you can claim your division fees (as above) in your income tax filings, a donation would receive a receipt but not be claimable as a business expense.
